General Mill’s commitment to the industry goes beyond innovative, quality products. We believe in the tradition, art and experience of baking and are proud to contribute to the ongoing growth and support of the industry.  Many of our territory managers sit on the boards of local RBA chapters and work with area bakers whenever they get the chance.

In 2006, we were proud to be able to help New Orleans based bakeries with our national Bake for New Orleans promotion. We donated $26,110 to help rebuild New Orleans bakeries via the Retail Bakers Industry Foundation's New Orleans and helped generate radio, tv and print media for the cause.

The Bread Bakers Guild of America

The Bread Bakers Guild of America provides education in, and fosters the growth of, artisan baking and the production of high quality bread products by raising the professional standards of artisan bread bakers, providing educational opportunities and bringing together the craftsman artisan community.

Retail Bakers Association (BRA)

The Retail Bakers of America offers retail bakeries knowledge and resources to enhance business operations through learning opportunities, shared best practices, networking and industry communication.

National Millers Association

NAMA is the trade association representing the wheat, corn, oat and rye milling industry. NAMA enables its members to grow and prosper by providing leadership through education, information and advocacy to members, policy makers, customers and suppliers in the areas of regulation and legislation, trade, supply and consumption.

Foundation of Grain Based Foods
The Grain Foods Foundation, a joint venture of members of the milling and baking industries formed in 2004, is dedicated to advancing the public's understanding of the beneficial role grain-based foods play in the human diet.

American Bakers Association (ABA)

ABA is a voluntary trade association designed to represent the interests of the wholesale baking industry--both on a national and state level.
